PICTURES FROM DECEMBER 7, 2021 HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE:

GOOD NEWS!  On August 2, 2019 Wellington Greens Homes Association won second place in the Lincoln Goodwill Neighborhood Challenge and received a check from Goodwill in the amount of $300.  In total, the Challenge collected 19,134 pounds of donations.  Our Association donated 4,033 pounds of that weight.  Perhaps we can win first place in 2020.

50th ANNIVERSARY FOR WELLINGTON GREENS HELD SEPTEMBER 17, 2017

Wellington Greens residents attended an afternoon of celebration for the 50th birthday of our Home Owners Association in and around the clubhouse. Vintage Corvettes and Mustangs were on display. There were games, live Barber Shop singers, a pictorial display of Wellington Green’s history in the clubhouse, 1960’s music, birthday cake and ice cream, and much more. Ed Zimmer from Lincoln’s Planning and Preservation Department and long-time Wellington resident Dottie Shapiro shared insights about Wellington Greens history.  And a drawing for one-month free association dues was won by Robert Shapiro . There were  banners at both 70th Street entrances and on the clubhouse.

Everyone had a great time!

FIRST ANNUAL HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE  A HUGE SUCCESS

Thanks to Nancy Vogt and the Social Committee, the First Annual Holiday Boutique was a huge success and it will be an annual affair.  It was held on November 5, 2016.  There were eight vendors offering their treasures and they hope to have a few more next year.  Here are a few pictures of items that were for sale.

SUPER BLUES PARTY ON THE GREENS  HELD SEPTEMBER

A number of residents enjoyed the music Jared Alberico playing his guitar, kicking a bass drum and singing and Honeyboy Turner playing his harmonica and singing.  Not as many residents were in attendance as there would have been had it not been rained out for the first date scheduled.  Those that attended expressed their hope that we do this again.

On March 19th, we had a “Taste of Italy” party in the clubhouse.  There was a variety of good foods including a number of cheeses, meatballs, potato cakes, several dips, calamari, coffee and biscotti. The Still donated the Italian wines. When you go to the Still for your favorite beverage, be sure and give a big “THANK YOU!” to John and Jackie. Also, thank the members of the Social Committee, they donated the food and their time and special thanks to Tom “T.J.” Johnson for donating a bottle of Brunello.
